Just a Normal Day

Last Friday I decided to take pictures all day long to show Michael what we do all day. The house is often a mess when he gets home and I can't figure out where the time goes. Well here it is.

Nathan is now eating baby rice and peas. He usually spits half of it out, not because he doesn't like it but he just isn't very good at the eating thing yet. Alyssa wanted to try the baby food so I gave her a bite, I wish I would have gotten a picture of that face. She gagged.

Alyssa is now climbing on everything. She is also starting to jump off of things which is kind of scary and I have to keep a close eye on her again.

Nathan is not as scared of Alyssa anymore. He gets a kick out of watching her dance and she loves to play with him. She helps put the binky in his mouth, which he usually doesn't want, and she always wants to help if we give him a bottle. What a good little Mommy! She still wants to share her food with him even though we have told her that he only eats baby food.

He loves his tunnel, we hang his toys from the top and he enjoys playing with them. You would think that it would be a good escape from his wild sister but she likes to dive onto the tunnel and smash it. We have not had any accidents with Nathan... YET!

Alyssa likes all animals but she has a rocking horse that she gets to ride on and lately we have been playing horsey with her. So today she decided to ride Tigger. Yes Tigger bounces but not with a tank of a girl riding him. Oh and below you can see that she has also tried to ride horsey with Nathan.

Our little girl is very active. If I try to use the computer while she is awake she comes over and pushes me away from the computer. She is napping right now so I have a little time. I try to bring in toys that she hasn't used in a while and it seems to keep her attention for a while.

She is now trying to dress herself and she tries to put on anything she can find. I have almost given up on folding laundry cause she just pulls the clothes off the couch and out of the drawers as I am working. It is so cute to watch her until she actually gets something over her head. She has never been able to stand it when we put a shirt on over her head, we have to go as fast as possible and we end up consoling her when it takes too long. Well when she is dressing herself she absolutely refuses any help, even when she gets stuck. It is difficult not to laugh when she gets stuck and won't let me help her. Poor thing.

The pool table no longer belongs to us, Alyssa uses it more than we are able to. She not only rolls the balls but plays with her bunnies and birdies on it. She also swings from the edge.
I think I speak for most Mommies when I say that I can't figure out where the time goes. Well there it is. The other day I was thinking to myself that all I do is wish for bedtime to come or even the weekend. When I went back and looked at the pictures I had taken I realized how much fun we have together every day. I am so lucky to be able to stay home with my children and I wouldn't change it for anything.

Bees

Alyssa loves bees. We have a song that Aunt Jessie taught us, I still can't remember the exact words but I improvise and she loves being tickled by the bees so I made these little bee bows for her. Jess I made you a pair so if you want them I will see how they do in the mail. Also I am going to steal some of your pics for my blog, you are so great with the camera. I wasn't able to get many pictures with two kids wanting Mommy the entire weekend.

Easter Weekend

Gregg was having his baby Haily blessed ang Grandma Thomas and Aunt Carla traveled for the blessing so I packed up the kids and headed back to St. George.

We Stayed With Gregg this time so Alyssa could settle down at night and it was so nice to have some quiet time in the evenings. Alyssa and Carson got along famously, they are like two peas in a pod except that Alyssa isn't quite as loud. There was a neighborhood breakfast and Easter egg hunt and the kids got punching balloons and other goodies. The two of them had so much fun punching each other and Aunt Carla, who lost the battle by the way. She was a good sport with them and we enjoyed spending time with her.

Mom and Dad had an Easter egg hunt at the house and the kids all loved searching for candy and bunnies.

My cousin Karly brought the ruffled skirts and I thought Alyssa would have fun twirling in one but I think this is when she started feeling sick. She looks cute though.

Mom made all of the girls these darling tutus. They all looked so cute in them.
Thanks for everything Mom and Dad, you do so much for all of us.

This is Nathan with his Uncle Kevin, they played for quite a while and Nathan was all smiles.

First Haircut

I finally got up the nerve to cut Nathan's hair. After the last time I cut Alyssa's bangs I have been scissor shy. I think I did pretty good for the first haircut.
