Night Time Ritual

After bathtime the kids get to watch Caillou with their milk. We think this is kind of cute.

This is what I get at 5:30 in the morning!

Ouch!

You can just see the accidents coming can't you? She was carrying a step stool around that is big enough that she can't see where she is going. I moved things out of her way so she wouldnt trip over anything but she managed to trip over her feet anyway.

Six Months Old

Nathan turned six months old last week! He is in the 97th percentile for height, 30th percentile for weight and 80th pecentile for head size. Yes he is tall and skinny with a big head. And we think he is the cutest little boy ever of course. He is a Mama's boy! He is such a good baby, he is content to lay on the floor or in his tent as long as someone talkes to him occasionally. Nathan now loves his big sister, he used to get scared anytime she got near but now he laughs at her and watches every move she makes. Alyssa is so good to him, she teaches him sign language and how to crawl and walk. It is so funny to watch her take his hand and show him how to walk, with our help. His eyes light up when Daddy comes home from work because he knows it is playtime. His favorite things are his two fingers that he sucks on and his blanket that must be on his cheek for him to sleep.

Squirt Guns

Alyssa insisted on using her thumbs to squirt her new squirt guns. The good thing was that she only got herself wet and the rest of us stayed dry. That didn't last long though, she figured it out and now we all get soaked as well as the house.

Strawberries

We have spent the last few months gardening and Alyssa has been such a big help it is a wonder that we have anything growing at all. She spends her time watering anything and everything in sight, including Nathan. She also loves feeding manure to the plants as well as stomping in the mud puddles that she made. She has lately learned to weed so we are wondering if we will even have a garden to harvest. She is so much fun! This is the first strawberry that we found in the garden. She was so excited for Daddo to come home from work so she could show him the strawberry. Since then we have bought two clamshells of strawberries from Costco and plenty of whipped cream. This is what she is now calling dessert. YUMMY!

Nathan has been very sick this week so I have been carrying him around a lot. Can you tell? Alyssa has to carry her babies just like Mommy does.
