Play Date

I met a couple of girls at a preparedness class and they invited me to join their play group. Today we went to Anaverde Park and let the kids run around and play on the slides.

Alyssa warmed up to the kids after a while and started climbing and sliding without any assistance whatsoever. She is growing up so fast.

The girls are Lindsay, Autumn and Stacy but I can't remember all of the kids names. And this is not even half of the bunch.

As soon as I put Nathan down he started smiling.

He also got his first kiss today!

We had a great time.

Happy Birthday and Fourth of July!

Alyssa is turning two next week but we had a party early with some of her cousins and Grandma and Pi. We went to Jumping Jacks and had a blast. We had never been so it was extra special for Alyssa. At first she wouldn't let go of my hands but as you can see by the pictures she was her independant little self in no time at all. I do it! I do it! She insisted as she tried to climb up the big slide stairs by herself. She asked for help when she slid down two steps but was on her own on her way down.

Lyssa and Carcar with their Pi at the park on the 4th of July. Our kids are so blessed to have Grandma and Pi in their lives.

Nathan is always happy as long as he has a full belly, but he is extra happy when he is outside. He had so much fun with everyone around and he didn't even flinch when the fireworks went BOOM! He loved them!
Alyssa was the entertainment before the fireworks. She danced and danced as the band played and everyone around just loved it. She was slightly nervous at the first BOOM of the fireworks but quickly got used to the noises and enjoyed all of the colors.

We took the kids to Santa Monica Pier thinking that they would have fun on the pier. Alyssa was only interested in the water. She didn't even want funnel cake. So we walked down to the beach and enjoyed the afternoon. I love the beach but I could definitely do without the sand especially now that I have kids.

They absolutely loved the sand and we couldn't get Alyssa out of the water, even though her lips were turning blue. After lunch and swimming the kids decided to have their first fight. We got it all on the camera and thought it was funny so it is narrated for you.
