Our Kids

Alyssa and Nathan have a blast in the tub together. Nathan cries when we get him out of the tub.

Our kids love pizza night. We make everything so it is extra yummy!

Alyssa helps by making the crust.

They were having fun until I got the camera ready.

Playing peek-a-boo in a cardboard box.

He had so much food stuffed in his mouth.

Nathan is playing with the toy boxes, who needs the toys anyway?

Alyssa doing her hair while I'm getting ready. I don't know if you can tell but she found the lipstick before I noticed her getting into everything.

Wishing there was water in the tub.

He is now pulling himself up onto everything.

Catching Up

The kids had a great time playing with their Nana and Tata, and Nino Ed. We barbequed carne asada, had cake and icecream, taught Alyssa how to hit a pinata (I think she hit just about everyone there), and played with all of her new toys. Thank You!

Then the boys stayed up until dawn playing pool and poker.

BOYS!

Don't adjust the color on your computer. His mouth is completely yellow, and yesterday it was black, the day before green, and on and on. Good thing crayons are non-toxic huh?

I can't believe the difference between boys and girls. Nathan is into EVERYTHING and he just started crawling. I don't want him to walk, ever. When I went to get him from his nap today he was standing in his crib. Isn't it too early for this?

Alyssa was content to flip the door stop and watch it swing back and forth. No, that is not enough for Nathan, he wants to get the thing in his mouth.

Crawling

Nathan has been doing the army crawl for a few weeks now but finally last night he got his little butt (and I do mean little) in the air. He is crawling at just two days short of 9 months old.

Also I know that I am about a month behind in blogging. We have been so busy here and I haven't had the energy to keep up. I will post again soon to catch up.

Play Date

I met a couple of girls at a preparedness class and they invited me to join their play group. Today we went to Anaverde Park and let the kids run around and play on the slides.

Alyssa warmed up to the kids after a while and started climbing and sliding without any assistance whatsoever. She is growing up so fast.

The girls are Lindsay, Autumn and Stacy but I can't remember all of the kids names. And this is not even half of the bunch.

As soon as I put Nathan down he started smiling.

He also got his first kiss today!

We had a great time.

Happy Birthday and Fourth of July!

Alyssa is turning two next week but we had a party early with some of her cousins and Grandma and Pi. We went to Jumping Jacks and had a blast. We had never been so it was extra special for Alyssa. At first she wouldn't let go of my hands but as you can see by the pictures she was her independant little self in no time at all. I do it! I do it! She insisted as she tried to climb up the big slide stairs by herself. She asked for help when she slid down two steps but was on her own on her way down.

Lyssa and Carcar with their Pi at the park on the 4th of July. Our kids are so blessed to have Grandma and Pi in their lives.

Nathan is always happy as long as he has a full belly, but he is extra happy when he is outside. He had so much fun with everyone around and he didn't even flinch when the fireworks went BOOM! He loved them!
Alyssa was the entertainment before the fireworks. She danced and danced as the band played and everyone around just loved it. She was slightly nervous at the first BOOM of the fireworks but quickly got used to the noises and enjoyed all of the colors.

We took the kids to Santa Monica Pier thinking that they would have fun on the pier. Alyssa was only interested in the water. She didn't even want funnel cake. So we walked down to the beach and enjoyed the afternoon. I love the beach but I could definitely do without the sand especially now that I have kids.

They absolutely loved the sand and we couldn't get Alyssa out of the water, even though her lips were turning blue. After lunch and swimming the kids decided to have their first fight. We got it all on the camera and thought it was funny so it is narrated for you.

Grandma and Pi

Grandma and Pi came to see us a couple of weeks ago and the brought gifts. Pi and Daddy worked hard on Alyssa's birthday present, they built her a sand box. This helps me because she plays in there and not quite as often in the garden.

She had so much fun playing with Pi in her new sandbox! Thank you!

ALyssa played in the water and then would run to Grandma all soaked.

Grandma made the darling little hats for them and Alyssa loves wearing them, Nathan will wear it as long as you hold his hands down so he can't get it off.

Can you tell that the kids love their Grandma?

You can always count on Grandma and Pi to give the kids their first taste of icecream or popsicles. Yes, he got both.

Disneyland Again

Now that Micheal is off work for the summer we wanted to get to Disneyland as a family. Alyssa's favorite rides are the Teacups and the Merry-go-round. When we all went together on the teacups Michael had us spinning so fast that Nathan came out a bit grey. He took Alyssa again so they could go faster, maybe a little too fast.

Nathan's favorite ride is Small World. He wiggled so much trying to see everything I thought he might dive in the water. The people behind us also enjoyed his singing, which he does a lot of these days. He also enjoyed the Merry-go-round, he sits up and holds on tight with a big grin on his face. We couldn't get Alyssa smiling cause every time we try to get a picture she gives us a great big scowl.
