Griswold Christmas

So it took an hour and a half just to get the tree in an upright position. We turned the lights on that were already on the tree from last year and there was a strand that didn't light so I took them off and replaced them with new ones, whew. We spent another two and a half hours tying bows and decorating and later that night we look in to see that the Christmas tree only has one strand working. Aargh! I was able to get all but one to light and I quit. We were all exhausted at this point Alyssa had fun decorating it at least. She loves the Christmas lights. When we were in Spanish Fork we went to the Festival of Lights with Pi, she squeeled she was having so much fun and we all had a blast.

Family Weekend

Nana, Tata and Tia Lolie came up for a visit. We went to dinner and Alyssa was great she gave us an hour and a half or smiles at the restaurant. Sunday was typical at our house the boys watched football and the girls went for a walk. Tia Lolie played "peek-a-boo" with Alyssa and I've never heard her laugh so much.

Exhausted

An early Christmas for Alyssa. She wore herself out in her "Jumperoo" and loved it.

Guama and Pi

Guama and Pi came to visit and help us put in our backyard last weekend and Mark and Jaylee decided to come out and help us too! Thank you all so much, Alyssa loves to hang out outside.
I decided to hitch a ride back to Utah and visit the Grandmas and Carla. What a long drive but it was worth it. We had a great time. My cousin Karly insisted on babysitting so Mom and I could go shopping for the afternoon in Salt Lake. I have only left Alyssa with her grandparents before so I was nervous. She had a great time with her cousins Trayson and Addison. In fact Trayson said that he wanted to keep her and that we can just go back to California and get another one! Kids are so much fun!
When we got back to St. George she spent time with Karson. They played with Pi and had fun together, he is crawling now and crawled to Alyssa wanting her to pick him up.

Alyssa's first Halloween

OK, so there isn't anything too exciting about carving a pumpkin with a 3-month old, except for taking pictures. She did enjoy looking at the jack-o-lantern when we turned the lights off.

Alyssa is now putting everything in her mouth. She loves to wear skirts and dresses cause they go in so easily. She has also started squealing, it is so cute! Today I was able to finally get a good picture of her smile, wahoo!!!!

Where is the binki!

Alyssa and I drove to Arizona for Taleah's blessing last week, what a trip. My car was side swiped, luckily we were not in the car, and when we got home I was so sick that Michael had to take the day off to take care of the baby. So, of coarse, now he is sick. Well at least we got to play with Grandma and Pi, as well as some of Alyssa's cousins. Jaylee was so helpful with Alyssa giving her kisses and always always always making sure she had a binki in her mouth. Thank you for your help Jay Bird! We love you.

Sparklers!

Well it is October and Alyssa finally fits into her cute summer dress (almost). Last week I took her to get her ears pierced, that was so tough on me. I felt like a mean mom for an hour or so but they didn't seem to bother her after the initial ten minutes. They look so cute, if you look closely you can see the little pink sparkler in her right ear.
